I’ve tried those and sadly they haven’t worked. Thanks again though. If that fails, there’s a switch on the side of the phone between the volume buttons, this presses from front to back of phone, try moving the switch to the front of phone position and see if that works. if that doesn’t work then I'm stumped. hth Jim From: Edward Green<mailto:edward@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 06, 2011 10:15 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [access-uk] Voiceover stopped speaking on iPhone Hi, This morning Voiceover has stopped speaking on my iPhone 3GS and I don’t hear any clicks when I move my finger around the screen. Also, there is no speech when I press the home or power buttons. However, when I call my mobile number from a landline, Voiceover does speak out the number and the clicks have returned if I navigate the screen while the phone is ringing. I thought there might be a problem with the volume and have tried adjusting it immediately after pressing the home button, but to no avail. I’ve also rebooted the phone without success. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try? Thanks;, Ed
