[access-uk] Re: Voice recognition on the N95

Yes, so I learned something today also. I don't very often bother to make voice tags and hadn't boterhed with this phone; but now I'll use it for sure!

love how you don't need to record the voice tag like you used to have to. Now you just say the name and it recognises it with the text. Very good.

Hi Carol

It's very simple. Just hold down soft key two, the right hand button at the
bottom of the screen, for a few seconds until it makes a quick series of
beeps then say the name of the person you want to contact. The mobile
recognises the name and Talks says who it is. A few seconds later, it calls
the default number. If it's the wrong one, cancel it pretty sharpish.

To make a number the default, open the contact, open the menu, go down to
default, enter on phone number, go to the number you want as default and
enter on that. Exit the contact and you're done.

Thanks to Steve who helped me with this default bit.

Cheers

Barry

Hi Barry,

I didn't know this was a feature of the N95. Please tell me how it works.

Incidentally, I suppose if you decide to make the most used number a default
then it would come up; so you may get a person's mobile number that way.

Subject: [access-uk] Voice recognition on the N95

Hi all

Ok, the voice recognition on the Nokia N95 is excellent, but how do I
get a certain number for a contact? If I use the voice recognition, I
hold down soft key 2 until it beeps, say the name and the number comes
up and rings. However, it only brings up the first number in the
contacts list, which is usually someone's home number. If I want
their mobile, how do I get to that with voice recognition?

Cheers

Barry
