Jackie,

It's true as we get older, we turn back into children. We lose our
hair, teeth, need to be fed by others, and that's not the worsed of it
lol one day we wake up feeling like a new borne baby.

Dave

Well Dave if you want a laugh, I heard once that this totally blind
bloke was eating a meal somewhere, and he was having trouble cutting up
his food.
Eventually, he leant back in frustration and his tie flopped onto his
chest!
he had been cutting it instead of the steak on his plate!! how
embarrassing!!

It was one of the saving graces of being fed in hospital to be honest.
The first time I was allowed food after my op, the nurse brought me a
chicken salad. I asked if she would mind cutting it up and feeding me
with it as I couldn't cope with trying to balance it on my chest,
cutting it up, and then trying not to drop everything in the bed. She
said: "Oh God I never thought." From that moment on, they took it in
turns to feed me until I was strong enough to perch on the edge of my
bed and feed myself. Felt like a prat opening and shutting my mouth
like a goldfish while I waited for the fork, but it was better than
sharing a bed with cucumber, boiled egg and bits of lettuce. (lol).

Anyway, good on Virgin Trains for at least offering to provide an
electronic format.

Jackie
