a lot less for your money in the braille watch world these days. and i too
don't like the general design nowadays. just hope this thing doesn't pack up
on me! smile.

Subject: [access-uk] Re: VIBRATING TACTILE WATCH

I get spam about Rolex watches all the time, and have never looked at the
site in respect of the new vibrating watch.

Much as I would like one, I fear the cost is rather too high. I usually
make do with a cheap talking watch, but there are times when you do not want
the whole world to know you are looking at the time. Braille flip up lid
watches to my mind were once much better than they are now. The recent
trend of having a sort of ridge in the six position which you have to get
your finger nail under to open the watch is not satisfactory. They either
will not open at all unless brute force is used, or they flip open at the
slightest touch. The watches which opened at the press of the winder or a
button next to the winder were much better. Last time I looked around RNIB
I could not find a braille watch I liked.

If anyone has recommendations I would like to hear them.

David
