alternatively, once you have done the delete thing either pressed delete and
moved on or pressed the control and letter d, you can purge the messages,
when your about to read a message that hasn't been open and there isn't one
open, (between reading messages) press alt and r followed quickly by letter
e. Wait then a few seconds an your jaws will carry on reading so you know
its worked,Christine.

Hi Adrien,
This is simple. When you delete a message from an IMAP server, it does
not
get deleted, merely marked for deletion. If you want to really delete it,
you need to Purge deleted messages. This can be found in Outlook on the
Edit menu, when you are in the IMAP folder.
All the best
Steve

Hi
Whilst on the subject of multiple accounts, I use several accounts
including
an imap account but I'm curious to know how often or when my messages are
deleted from my account.
I'm hitting the delete button on my messages but the total number isn't
going down, just increasing.
Regards
Adrien

Hi George,
Worth pointing out though, that this does not work if you use Word as your
editor within Outlook. In fact, using Word as your editor gives you
better
access when reading back, but it is a pain.
All the best
Steve

When you are in the message you want to send, Alt + n will bring up the
Accounts list in Outlook 2003, and as I recall, it's the same for 2000.
George.

Hi all.
How do I select what email account to send a new email from, please?
In outlook 2000 after composing the email I could hit alt and S and select
the account from the drop down list it presented. This does not work with
outlook 2003, so how do you choose what account to send an email from,
please?
Cheers,
Mark Threadgold
