You can do the following to have Word open e-mail attachments in Normal view
instead of Reading Layout view:
1. From the Tools menu, choose Options.
2. Press CTRL+TAB until you switch to the General tab in the Options dialog box.
3. Move to and clear the Allow Starting in Reading Layout check box.
4. Press ENTER to close the Options dialog box and return to the document.

Subject: [access-uk] Urgent MSWord Help needed again!
Hi. a couple of weeks ago I emailed about Jaws 7 and MSoffice 2003. I followed
everyone's comments and made the changes recommended, but now things seem to be
even worse.
I am an English teacher and I do my marking on the computer (the kids send me
word docs and I write on those and print/email them) however although I can now
read down the lines, which I couldn't always do before, I now can't read from
word to word, left-right or vice versa! It just says blank, this means I can't
put the cursor in the right place to write my comments! Which means it's
impossible for me to do it on my own!
I've tried MSW help and all it tells me is the following, which I'm pasting in
below as it may be a reason, but I can't find anything in the menues to help me
change this:
"Document protection status is:
Allow only revisions
This means that navigation and editing is restricted. "
Also I have turned off Mark up as I think that causes problems.
I hate MS2003! it's causing me no end of problems!
Any suggestions from totals who use Jaws and 2003?
Thanks.
