Hi Andy. Not heard of this one before mate, but I had a look at the JFWLite site under Helpful Hints / FS Recommended settings for IE and OE Below is what they suggest: You may find something in here to fix your problem Best wishes. Andy Internet Explorer If you want to use the Internet Explorer toolbar, you should include text labels on the buttons. To do this go to the Toolbars submenu under the View menu and choose customize and select Text Labels. There are several advanced options that should also be changed. Open the Internet Options dialog under the Tools menu and go to the Advanced page. Under The Accessibility Section, make sure the following are checked: · Move system caret with focus/selection changes. · Always expand all text for images. Under the Browsing section, make sure the following are not checked: · Show channel bar at startup. · Show friendly URLs. · Use smooth scrolling. · Enable page transitions. In the Accessibility dialog, make sure Ignore Colors Specified On Web Pages is checked. This dialog opens when you press the Accessibility button in the General page of the Internet Options dialog. Outllook Express. After installing Outlook Express, it is recommended that you specify your Inbox as the starting location of Outlook Express. To do this, open the Options dialog under the Tools menu. Move to the General page and check the box that reads, "When starting, go directly to my Inbox folder." For optimal functionality with JAWS, it will be necessary for the toolbar to be enabled. To do this, make sure that Toolbars is checked in layout under the View menu. Text labels for the Toolbar also need to be turned on. Go to the Layout dialog under the View menu. Hit enter on the customize toolbars button and make sure it specifies Show Text on toolbar. You can also disable the preview pane in this dialog if desired. The Preview pane is used to view messages automatically as you move up and down the message list. Uncheck Use preview pane to disable this feature. If you want to leave the preview pane enabled, but do not want messages to be marked as read automatically as they are updated in the preview pane, go to the Options dialog under the Tools menu. Press CTRL+TAB to the Read page and turn OFF the Message Is Read After Being Previewed check box. ----- Original Message ----- From: Andy Collins To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 9:57 AM Subject: [access-uk] Update on my OE problem, help still needed Hi all - I've still got the problem of not being able to delete messages from my in-box in OE. Something else has now shown up, and it's this: I have a message in my in-box that whenever I either try to read it, or even when jaws just lands on it, something happens that locks up OE, and I get the "this programme is not responding..." message. I don't know what it is about this particular email message that is just sat there in my in-box, but I can't delete it, or any of my messages. Any ideas? Regards Andy
