uncheck the tool bar, and check the preview pain.

Graham - looked at layout under the view menu, and here's how it's set up:

Contacts, checked;
Folder bar, checked;
Folder list, checked;
Outlook bar, not checked;
Status bar, checked;
Tool bar, checked;
Views bar, not checked;
Show preview pain, not checked;

I clicked on Customize, and the settings are as follows:

Show text labels;
Icons option, large.

There is also an ad button for tool bars, and I looked in there, and saw 13 toolbar buttons, one of which was called delete, and assumed all these toolbars were turned on, as the toolbar button in layout is checked.

Does this info help you with any other ideas as to what is going on with my in-box?

Does anybody know how to create another in-box in OE? I know it can be done, seems a bit extreme, but I might yet have to do that, if I can't solve this problem!

Yusuf -

Having looked on the menus, I can't find the preview pain. Can you say where
I find it, to uncheck it?

Andy, I've come to this thread rather late so sorry if what I suggest has
already been suggested. Have you got the preview pane showing in OE? If so
that might be causing the lock up with that particular message.

Hi all -

I've still got the problem of not being able to delete messages from my
in-box in OE. Something else has now shown up, and it's this: I have a
message in my in-box that whenever I either try to read it, or even when
jaws just lands on it, something happens that locks up OE, and I get the
"this programme is not responding..." message. I don't know what it is
about this particular email message that is just sat there in my in-box,
but I can't delete it, or any of my messages. Any ideas?

Regards

Andy
