Subject: [access-uk] Unable to boot new PC build
Hi,
I've bought a new motherboard and an AMD quad core processor. I was planning to
put it into a old case and PSU I had lying around. I've put it into the case
and wired it up but nothing happens when I press the power button.
Could this happen if the PSU is unable to provide enough power? I don't know
how many watts the PSU is rated to provide.
Also, I am a bit confused about the cable that comes from the front of the
case. I think it is an all in one cable for the power / reset buttons etc. Only
half of it will fit onto the pins provided for it on the motherboard though.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
