Hi Dean, Why do you even need a CD/DVD drive gbuilt in any more? Who uses CDs regularly? If I want to install something, I copy the image to a hard disk on my server machine, and install it over the network. Daisy books I keep on the network and copy them when I want them. CDs I rip. So you don't really need them built in. No Internet or network access? Then copy your CD to a pen drive or SD card. Finally, the MSI Wind comes as standard with an 80GB hard disk and 1GB of RAM upgradable to 2. The hard disk is standard, not solid state, and could I would think, be easily upgraded. So all them arguments go out the window <Smile>. Watch this space, they will get smaller and cheaper, and the processors will get more beefy. All the best Steve -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dean Wilcox Sent: Tuesday 26 August 2008 20:11 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Ultra Mobile PCs Full size laptops can have much more powerful processors which makes a big difference. I think it is probably easier to fit a large capacity hard drive in and slip in an extra gig of RAM. Its also worth remembering the bigger screen, larger keyboard and the useful inclusion of a CD/DVD drive.
