Hi Ali,

Go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager.  Go down the list of
devices to "Universal Serial Bus controllers", and right arrow to open
up that part of the list.

If you have USB2, it will show up as something like, "Inter(r)
82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller"

USB 2 is essentially much faster than USB 1.  USB 1 devices will usually
still work with USB2, but at the lower speed.
