Having said that, it is still the case that PDF files can be protected in 
such a way that they are not accessible to people using screenreaders. I 
encountered one such from the Naxos music download site. I have written to 
the supplier about it and am awaiting a response.

If you install the Adobe Reader i'm sure you'll find it easy to use,
its similar to reading a text file.  Some files don't read perfectly
but you should have no problems and might be pleasantly surprised at
how easy and simple it turns out to be.
