Hi George!

Your brother sleuth in acction too!

I checked on the web for that PC Live article but whereas I couldn't locate it in the actual magazine itself I did however come across a slightly truncated version of it in their radio show section!

www.pcliveradio.ie

Arrow way down the page to: Cyber-crooks move to
Twitter to Infect Users.

Enter there.

Trust that that clarifies matters along with George's links too.

The goal for me was to alert fellow listers, who are Twitter users but not in any way to scare them off using that (I understand from my learning of Twitter) wonderful social networking programme!

Must get back to doing some real work now!

Cheers

Hi Tony,

I've done some research into this, and it would appear to be genuine.

I have therefore included a link to the fairly well known Kaspersky
anti-virus software site where there is more details about this
Twitter

McAfee users may wish to see:-

Hi George,

PC Live magazine May 2009.

I have returned it to the library now but probably could get my hands
on it
again if it hasn't been bulk erased!!

PC Live last month and you will find it easily there!

I won't trouble the list further with these notices.

Tony

Hi Tony,

I generally only "do my nut" when such warnings are anecdotal.

Can you quote the section or item from PC Live which substantiates
this?

George.

Hi all,

Probably George will "do his nut" about this!

I'm not sure that info of this nature is allowed on the list!

Be aware of this mention below of which I post.

was reading on PC Live earlier that there is a virus, trojan on the
move re
Twitter!

Trust that that info may help some
of you. Regards

   Tony
