The box has na eight day epg so you can record up to 8 days in advance.

The box speaks when it is about to record a program. It also warns if there is a conflict both when setting up a recording and when starting one touch recording.

The speech is very responsive and clear.

I have been using the Tvonics box for the past 3 weeks and absolutely love it. Pretty much every feature speaks apart from the BBC Iplayer. The box is of course upgradable so it may well be possible for Tvonics to make the Iplayer speak.

I really don't think this is a major downside as everything else on the box is accessible. The speech is smooth and responsive, you can add, delete and edit timers, You can series link tv/radio programs and much more. When fast forwarding and rewinding you have audio feedback as to how far you have moved through the program.

A couple of years ago it was looking as if an accessible PVR would be in the range of £500/600 but we have a box for almost a quarter of that figure.

I don't think anyone will be dissapointed by either the features or the performance of this box.

It's what we've been waiting for.

I am writing this from a personal standpoint rather than from an RNIB sales point of view.
