Interesting. Most likely turning off the screen disables the video card for
some reason.

Subject: [access-uk] Turning of laptop screens
Hi folks,
Here's the problem:
I know that on a Desktop PC if you turn off the monitor, JAWS still works
as if nothing has happened. However, on my laptop it doesn't. This is how I
know the screen is turned off because JAWS does not tell me which messages
are read and tells me that the system tray is blank for example.
Does anyone know why this is, and if turning off the laptop is achievible
with JFW without it screwing up?
Thanks
Take care all
