Yes, I've often wondered why this is? After all, if you record BBC1 etc, these recordings will be in stereo! I'm sure there's a very simple and obvious reason why mono recordings occur, I just can't work it out! A better solution, if you have such a thing, is to plug | your video into a scart socket of your TV, and record from the AV channel. | That way, the picture quality is better than it is down the aerial system, | and the sound is definitely stereo and of a higher quality. | | All the best | -- | Computer Room Services: the long cane for blind computer users. | Telephone Voice: +44(0)1438 742286, Fax/BBS: +44(0)1438 759589 | mobile: +44(0)7956 334938, | Email: Steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Web site: http://www.comproom.co.uk | | -----Original Message----- | From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of | Sandra Henshall | Sent: 30 January 2006 19:12 | To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | Subject: [access-uk] Re: Tuning video to Sky | | Hi Andy, | When you first got your video, the engineer had to tune into the video | channel and then tune your video to receive the five terrestrial channels. | Well, you now need to have your video tuned in to pick up the signal from | your sky box. I've got mine set to channel six so that if I want to record | from Sky, I tell the video recorder to record Channel six and set the box to | the station I want. | | Cheers, | Sandra. | | ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] | ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | ** and in the Subject line type | ** unsubscribe | ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the | ** immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] | ** or send a message, to | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq | | | | ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] | ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | ** and in the Subject line type | ** unsubscribe | ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the | ** immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] | ** or send a message, to | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq | | ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
