That may be, but if you have to pay Social Service for Home Care then there isn't much left for other things.

All the best

Hi Barry.

Its a good suggestion, in fact I've never considered asking social services for equipment because Kawal my wife works and they for that reason might not sanction any sort of relief on equipment costs because of our combined income, however I receive direct payments for a support worker and related costs, so I might be able to use that budget to cover the cost of buying one. I'll defo speak to my social worker about this for the idea. The problem is that we live in Peterborough LOL, and so with the RNIB and deaf blind UK on their backs, they may or may not be so keen to fork out for specialist equipment which the colourino most certainly is.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Ibrahim,

You could ask your Social Services. We managed to get ours for £25 as they budgeted the rest as a tool for personal independence. I know these things
are a bit of a lottery, but if you wanted one it's an avenue to try.

Barry.

Hi Steve.

I'm getting my IPhone 4 hopefully in a few days, so I'll be keen to try
it
out. I didn't think or expect it would be better than a dedicated
device,
however I'm not prepared to spend over £100 on a device no matter how
good
that simply gives me color and light intensity functions.

All the best, Ibrahim.
