Yes, I got hold of one the same way, social services listened to me when I explained how my washing kept changing colour! Unfortunately it still does as this was a good few years ago and the "Olive Green" one so I'm going to put in for a more reliable source when I'm making my next request for help with equipment I need for my daily-living.

Ibrahim,

You could ask your Social Services.  We managed to get ours for £25 as they
budgeted the rest as a tool for personal independence.  I know these things
are a bit of a lottery, but if you wanted one it's an avenue to try.

I'm getting my IPhone 4 hopefully in a few days, so I'll be keen to try
it
out.  I didn't think or expect it would be better than a dedicated
device,
however I'm not prepared to spend over £100 on a device no matter how
good
that simply gives me color and light intensity functions.
