Hi Jackie.

That's a fare enough comment to make. I'm a little apprehensive about getting my new IPhone if I'm being totally honest, I'm wondering if I'll be able to get used to the touch interface and gestures this, but its a new way of interacting with a device and I'm sure a very pleasant one given by all the podcasts and reviews I've looked at. As for downloading aps wirelessly, you can do this with the IPhone as well as the IPod, in fact the storage is the only thing that differs the two products at the higher end of the spectrum. In fact, the IPod Touch has an inferior camera and no GPS, so if all your wanting to do is music and books etc, its a fine solution but I want so much more from my device which is why I'm gunning for the IPhone.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim

I don't have an iPhone, nor am I likely to be purchasing one in the near
future. To be honest, and call me a coward if you like, but my existing
handsets with Talks and K-Reader software work just fine for me and provide me with everything I need to do regarding texting, calling, contact entries,
and even the music player. I am interested in the Apple phenomenon,
however, and would rather choose an iPod Touch if I were to go for anything
because it would give me much more storage for music, and the ability to
download apps using a WiFi connection. The idea of messing about in the
rain trying to gesture on my phone to call a taxi, just to use an example,
doesn't do it for me somehow, not when I have enough phones in the house to
do that job.

I am, however, always interested in colour identifiers, so thanks for
pointing this one out and, if I do ever get an iPod Touch, I'll bear it in
mind for sure.

Kind Regards,

Hi Jackie.

Talking of color detectors, have you ever tried using the color identifier
program you can get for the IPhone? A really interesting article was
written about this program by a blind man who describes how his IPhone has
changed his world, so I wonder if you've given it a go if indeed you have an
IPhone.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Andy

Not sure why it's playing up, but I still consider the Caretec range of
colour identifiers the best, and my Colorino goes everywhere with me.

Mine seems to have died, not sure if it has a reset button, but nothing
obvious, the problem seems to be with the battery compartment, sometimes
it
will work, then it'll just crash and go quiet! Removing and reinserting
the
batteries can bring this about, but like I said, it doesn't work for long,
and just now, I can't get it to work at all!

Is the Colorino still considered one of the best of it's kind, or has it
now
been superseded? I need something better than the Cobalt one that thought
everything was olive Green!

Feedback very welcome -

?Andy
