Hi Tink,

I could give you loads of advantages of knowing Braille from my point of
view, but I'll keep it brief.

Personally, I love to read a Braille book rather than have one read to me.
I means that I can interpret the book in my own way, rather than listening
to someone else's interpretation. I have had to scrap audio books in the
past simply because I couldn't get on with the reader.

I use a Braille display for work purposes as I am on the phone to
customers all day and personally would find the customers, plus JAWS
speech too much.

Like many others, I find Braille invaluable for labelling CDs.

As I say, I could go on for hours about the benefits of Braille, but I
won't!

Could you explain, to the nearly non Braillist that I am, what the
benefits of Braille are?

I'm genuinely curious, as from my perspective there seems to be
little to commend it to me.

Before I start an almightly flame war, I'll stress that I'm
talking only from my own perspective, not generally across the board. But
I am curious all the same. *Smile.

Tink.
