[access-uk] Thanks re: possible problem with DVD drive

Hello all.
I want to thank you all for your help regarding possible problems with a friend Hannah Day's DVD drive. After all, the laptop was in fact not broken! We conclude that the disk initialize actually failed and instead locked up the laptop! 
So an unexpected but happy ending indeed!
