Vinegar might help to umblock a plug-hole too, if like us you have very hard water. Add a bit of bicarb for enhanced audio effect.

A very good liquid descalant is available from boots, but I cant remember its name unfortunately. All the best, Ibrahim.-----Original Message----- From: AnnabelSent: Wednesday, September 26, 2012 10:17 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Technology for the kitchen This sounds great, Ibrahim. Does it have a complicated cleaning routine like the Quick Cup machines? Do you have to replace filters? Thanks, Annabell.-----Original Message----- From: Ibrahim GucukogluSent: Wednesday, September 26, 2012 5:18 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Technology for the kitchen Hi Steve. Firstly, good luck with the article, I see there are lots of responses tothis however one gadget I've found particularly useful is my Super Kettle, available from www.superkettles.co.uk. This is essentially a hot watertank, holding 3.2 litres of water if you buy the stainless steel model. It takes around 45 minutes to boil a full tank, however will keep the water ata constant near boiling point ready for immediate dispensation. I use itfor just about every application where I need hot water including cooking, tea and coffee making etc. etc. The nice thing is that you can fill anycontainer from a cup to a saucepan with boiling hot water and if you need toreboil, that can be done with the press of a button. I cant commend thisgadget highly enough and the suppliers are very VI friendly and will happilyhelp with instructions in alternative formats etc. All the best, Ibrahim.-----Original Message----- From: Griffiths, SteveSent: Tuesday, September 25, 2012 3:18 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Technology for the kitchen I'm writing an article on technology for the kitchen, to appear in the RNIB's NB magazine, which is aimed at health professionals. I wondered if anyone would care to give a few of your favourite things a plug. I'm interested in anything you find useful as a blind or partially sighted person. Ovens, fridges, washing machines, gadgets for measuring or weighing and so on. I'm particularly interested in things that aren't available from Caretec, Cobolt or RNIB, or things that weren't around a few years ago. Thanks, Steve -- Remember a Charity Week 17-23 September 2012.
