Alan as answered this but the reason why mine was possibly so cheap is that my son purchased it for me from a market stall in Huddersfield.

Hi Steve,
I use a water heater similar to a kettle that just boils half a pint at a time. This is just right for a cup of tea or coffee and leaves just enough space for milk. You have to fill it up like a kettle as it only holds about 4 pints but is ideal as you just put the cup underneath to fill it up. Its made by Brevell, if I've spelt it correctly and cost £9.99 to purchase. Excellent for the price and I'm sure there are similar devices made by other manufacturers.

Subject: [access-uk] Technology for the kitchen

I'm writing an article on technology for the kitchen, to appear in the
RNIB's NB magazine, which is aimed at health professionals. I wondered
if anyone would care to give a few of your favourite things a plug.

I'm interested in anything you find useful as a blind or partially
sighted person. Ovens, fridges, washing machines, gadgets for measuring
or weighing and so on.

I'm particularly interested in things that aren't available from
Caretec, Cobolt or RNIB, or things that weren't around a few years ago.

Thanks,
Steve
