Thanks Chris I would never have worked that one out for myself. Stephen was saying something about not turning off the read subtitles as he said that would affect the reading of date in other places, what other places? Sorry to be stupid on this.

Eleanor the object viewer is a feature in Talks that allows you to now
change the way Talks recognizes objects in applications. Try it out with
Talks long Select. So to change the way Talks reads the date in the standby
screen! Down arrow to subtitle, press select, up arrow to role, press
select, up arrow to ignore, press select, then back out till you're at the
standby screen. If done correctly Talks will only announce the network at
least, with no date.
