[access-uk] Re: Talking multi meater

Hi
I imported one of these meters from Canada a couple of years ago. It is excellent apart from only having probes not clips for making connection to your component. At the time it cost about £35 with air freight at about £20. I Could have used surface mail, but couldn't wait that long, air freight took about 10 days. Did not have to pay import duty or vat as it was of low value and Customs did not bother.
Highly recommend meter and supplier for good service.

Hi Robin

The only one I have heard about recently is apparently made in Canada. Having worked as an electronics engineer before my sight deteriorated I used to use a multimeter every day. I still have my old one which coincidentally is made by "Robin" :) I would love a talking meter as well so am interested to see if anyone else knows where we can get hold of one in the UK.

Cheers
Darren.
