The Sonata is larger of course than your standard Internet radio, but then we can't see to use those can we? Clive, another route is to purchase an iPod Touch or iPhone and download free radio apps. I think I am leaning now towards the Sonata. The web site seems to suggest that battery operation will be available at some time in the future. Is it currently battery operated, or do you know when it might be? Thanks for the info. I have come to the conclusion that your best bet would be to use an iPod Touch to obtain Internet radio stations by downloading a cheap or free app. It would be slightly cheaper than purchasing the Sonata, and certainly more portable if you have a WiFi connection. Commercially available Internet radios are just not accessible to blind people, but Apple have made this possible with VoiceOver. I did have a Pure Tempus and when the Sonus came out I bought one of those and moved the Tempus to the kitchen. That has now given up the ghost. I have tried to source a new Sonus but without success. I did think about the Sonata internet radio. However, I am not eligible for a free one and think that the price tag is a bit hefty for a kitchen radio. Thanks for any help.
