i'm on NTL and they axed their plans for a cap on their 1 and 2 meg packages. and it's 75 GB on their 10 meg package. NTL seem to have bucked up their ideas over the last year or two. As you can see, I'm with plus.net and not on the cheapest deal and still restricted to a 20 Gig limit, which I'd exceeded a couple of times. But I'd argue, at least I know where the boundaries are as nany ISP's have a fare usage policy but it's difficult to establish in numeric terms what fare is, as a number of Gigabytes. > > I understand that Bulldog announced last week in a BBC report that they'd not be limiting their users. > > Gena > > On Tue, Apr 25, 2006 at 02:00:45PM +0100, Ray's Home wrote: > > It happens that I'm pretty pleased with what I've got, and I would look at Plus Net were I to be wanting an incusive internet-phone deal, but I'm sure Id be paying more than what's being talked about here. > > > > Also, is this the deal where you have a 40Gb limit for your monthly usage? If it is, then I contend that, if you are doing a lot of phoning, and listening to internet radio then very likely you will be paying more for exceding that limit. Let's face it, as blind users maybe we do more internet chat, listening to radio etc. than many other users. > > > > PeoPeople may well rush lemming like over this particular cliff, but I'd say watch out for service levels and future price hikes. > > Ray > > > > Personal emails: Email me at > > mailto:ray-48@xxxxxxxx > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: Tristram Llewellyn > > > > > > It looks like a "bleeding" contest to see who can stand the longest without falling over. There is likely to be a hidden gotcha in there somewhere. Is it really sustainable and will it stand the huge rush of potential customers joining.the service at once assuming they are in the 75 percent of the country where it can be had. > > > > Regards. > > > > Tristram Llewellyn > > Sight and Sound Technology > > Technical Support > > www.sightandsound.co.uk > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: Howie, Sam > > To: Access-Uk (E-mail) > > Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2006 11:08 AM > > Subject: [access-uk] Talk Talk Offer > > > > > > Hi All > > Just wondered if anyone had comments or had signed up for the Talk Talk service offering free broadband http://www.talktalk.co.uk/ > > Sam > > > > > > Support Scotland's Bid to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow - visit www.glasgow2014.com > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- > ---end quoted text--- > > -- > 2E0AXU > > Freedom & Power provided by debian GNU Linux > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] > ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** and in the Subject line type > ** unsubscribe > ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the > ** immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] > ** or send a message, to > ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > Version: 7.1.384 / Virus Database: 268.4.6/323 - Release Date: 24/04/2006 > > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
