Hi George, as I suspected they confirm that only if a digi box is incapable of receiving TV programmes is connected to a hifi you don't need a licence. All digi boxes, including the Goodmans one are capable of receiving TV programmes. It would only apply to a sound only digi box, and I don't know if they make one. The only sound only device was the TV sound receiver the RNIB used to do.
