[access-uk] Re: Supplier of low voltage transformers wanted

Hi Ray

An alternative to Maplin is RS components. The following link takes you straight to the search page on their site

http://rswww.com/cgi-bin/bv/search/SearchDialog.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0557616649.1107206106@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccdadddkfdglfkcfngcfkmdgkldfhf.0&cacheID=uknetscape

A 240 to 24 volt transformer is quite a common component I used to buy all sorts of transformers and other components from RS when I was a circuit designer. However finding a replacement transformer can be a bit tricky if you want an exact match as they come in all sorts of sizes and V A ratings. You may have more luck contacting the manufacturer of the product you want the transformer for.

Hi. This may be a long shot, but I'll ask anyway.

I have to replace a burnt-out mains transformer. (Its not a DC
power supply.) Usual Uk mains input voltage, but 24v AC output,
600ma rating. Anyone know of somewhere I can buy such a thing?
Maplin seems to be no use.

Many thanks.
Ray
