Hi all,
You might remember this problem I was having with my Favourites menu in
Internet Explorer - I kept finding favourites in the menu which I hadn't. I
got rid of a lot of stuff with AdAware but now there are two favourites
there again which I didn't add. They are sites I've visited recently but I
didn't add them to the favourites.
I just wondered - can anyone think of any other reaso apart from spyware why
this would be happening? It's as if IE is just automatically adding most of
the sites I visit to the Favourites menu. I guess I'll just have to do an
Adaware check more often but it's just irritating...
Catherine

Hi,
Good point - I'll do an adaware check.
Thanks,
Catherine

Hi Catherine
I would guess that you have some spy ware on your computer. Do you have
anti-spy ware running?

Hi,
In Internet Explorer (am using version 6) I went into the Favourites menu
and cursored up and noticed there are lots of favourites there which I
definitely didn't add myself. Also, as soon as I cursor up, IE behaves
as
if I've pressed Enter and goes to that website.
Has anyone got any ideas how these favourites got put in the menu without
me
doing Add To Favourites; or why just by cursoring onto them and not
pressing
Enter IE navigates to that site?
Catherine
