The display settings for JAWS and Windows XP should be set as follows.
1. From the Windows Control Panel, move to "Display" and press Enter.
2. From the themes combo box, select Windows XP.
3. In the List of backgrounds on the Desktop page, choose Bliss.
4. Set Position to "Stretch."
5. In the Screen Saver combo box on the Screen Saver page, press HOME to
select none.
6. On the Appearance page, set Windows and Buttons to Windows classic style.
7. Set Color Scheme to Windows Standard.
8. Set Font to normal.
9. Tab to OK and press enter.

Mark, this might be your problem. XP home has to be configured to run under
jaws. The default settings for Windows XP just won't offer the best reading
results. Go to www.jfwlite.com and look under helpful hints to find a
document that tells you how to configure Windows XP Home for jFW.

Running JFW 4.51.131, when another person has logged in under their =
account, and I log back in with JAWS running, the way things are spoken put
= simply goes to pot. JFW is sluggish, and when reading the status line for
= example, all I here is 'Blank. I find the only way to resolve this is to
unload, = and then load JFW again.
I'll more than likely end up contacting freedom support, but just = wondered
what the general opinion was here?
As far as I know, I'm using the default display and colour settings with =
XP home.
