Thanks Carol it's always good to have another option I shall add this to my
computer folder.
I am still getting the new Office cos today a friend typed something out for
me, sent as attachment and I can't read it as I get the message that it's been
created with a newer version of Word and I am unable to download the add-on or
whatever cos of my copy not being genuine.

I will try your way though :someone already suggested I save as plain text then
add text to name and it works.

Mandy.

  Hi Mandy,

OK ... I wouldn't go to that expense myself as Victor will cope with
textfiles and, there's another way you may achieve what you want.

Try going to your document, perform a right click and choose the "Open with"
option. Instead of opening it with Word, go for Wordpad. Once you have the
doc in Wordpad, save as HTML.

Does this work for you and help?

Sorry if not, but that's what I'd go for!
