Ah could I have a copy of these scripts as well please along with instructions
as wouldn’t know what to do with scripts. I’ve just uninstalled Spotify because
found it next to useless.

Hi Ian.

I’m having trouble compiling these scripts and getting them to work. Since I
rarely if ever install third party scripts, could you please let me know what I
should do with the contents of the zip file you sent over?

All the best, Ibrahim.

If you can get them, the JAWS scripts do away with all that JAWS cursoring.

Hi Ibrahim,

In the Spotify window, tab until you get to the edit field (you probably won’t
hear your screen reader say anything other than tab until you hit it).

Type in the name of what you are looking for. Be as specific as possible as
navigating through anything in Spotify isn’t great, and press enter.

Use your screen reader’s mouse moving facility to review the screen, it’s a
good idea to route the mouse pointer or cursor to your pC cursor first assuming
your screen reader has that facility.

As you move down, you’ll find what is effectively a table though of course it
won’t read like one giving track or album name, artist, time etc. On the track
title, double click your left mouse button and it should play.

If the track you are looking for and the album it’s on share the same title,
Spotify normally shows the album at the top but the individual track should be
below without you having to go into the album itself (though the same procedure
should work).

Hope this helps.

Ed

Hi Ed.

Could you give me a step by step on getting tracks to play? The only play
button I can find if indeed it is a button is a play cue, but that presumably
plays a list of tracks you’ve previously highlighted.

Thanks, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim,

It’s not great, though I’ve managed to get tracks to play. I haven’t tried to
create playlists but have used ones that people have sent me.

I heard tell of scripts for Spotify a while ago, but when I tried the URL to
download them (sorry I no longer have it), it was broken.

Hi Everyone.

I’m sure this subject has come up before, but does anyone know of either hints,
tips or tutorials for using Spotify with JAWS? I’m not having much fun working
with the Spotify program though I chiefly subscribed so I could access music
from my IPhone which works admirably.

All the best, Ibrahim.
