What Steve is saying is this. To change to compact view in Skype 4: Press alt v, arrow to compact view and press enter. Now to change to simple graphics:Press alt t to open the tools menu, arrow to accessibility submenu and pressright arrow to open it, arrow to simple graphics and press enter. Hope this helps. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 18, 2009 10:42 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Skype Oh well in that case fine Steve. It was what you were talking about minamizing the window etc and something to do with the graphics. I just heard where version 3.8 was more recommended for blind users. V4 is fine, there is no real reason to stick to 3.8. If you change the view to Compact mode in the View menu, switch Skype to Classic, and then Simplified graphics in accessibility, there is no learning curve at all. If you do not wish to take this learning curve, don't use it until Skype fixes some accessibility issues that are currently present in the newest version. However, both Gary and myself use Skype 4.0, and I know others do as well, and actually they love it! -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 18, 2009 2:35 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Skype Thank you. There is a note to thiseffect on the Skype website. I would think this would also apply to users of access technologies other than JAWS.
