elliot the portset is a freeview box which plugs into the tv just like the normal box except that it has audio description, one can access programme info and best of all it can re-cord. The drawback is that you cannot watch some programmes whilst recording, and of course it does not have the same amount of channels as sky but it is very accessible. Another problem is the cost, however, I felt it was worth it
