Hi Brian.

Can you tell which channel the gnome is set to? Is the audio distorted in any
way? There are four channels the gnome can operate on and it is essential that
for proper operation, the base unit and the gnome are tuned to the same
channel. Also, on the gnome link that connects to the serial and Arial ports
on your box, is there a light showing on the little dongle where all the wires
converge? If there is no light then you have a problem with the connector and
may have to get a replacement.

All the best, Ibrahim.

  Subject: [access-uk] Sky Gnome

The gnome plays the programme that is on the sky+ box in the front room and
changes if you change channels on that box but I cannot change channels with
the gnome. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can put it right? As far
as I know it is wired correctly and I have tried turning off the power to the
main box and hoping that the gnome will reprogramme itself with no success.
  Thanks.

  Brian
