try turning the sky box off with the remote while the gnome is switched on,
that will turn the gnome off too, then press the sky button on the gnome
itself, that should switch box back on as well as turn gnome on too.

The gnome plays the programme that is on the sky+ box in the front room and
changes if you change channels on that box but I cannot change channels with
the gnome. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can put it right? As
far as I know it is wired correctly and I have tried turning off the power
to the main box and hoping that the gnome will reprogramme itself with no
success.
