I bought mine some years ago, probably for the same price as you paid.
I've never had a problem with dropping signal, and I do shunt it about
quite a bit. It does the job for listening to the sport when I'm in the
kitchen. I must say it looks and feels nothing like a gnome though!

Of course *smile*. I'm not criticising your opinion, if you find it
useful then that's brilliant, but I bought one when Sky were promoting
them directly and it cost me 70 quid plus carriage. I don't know if
they've improved it since they originally launched it some time ago, but
I thought it was the biggest waste of money I'd spent that month. I had
the same idea that you did of listening to it around the house, but
since I mainly listen to music and film programming, I found the
speakers very unsatisfactory and on mine at any rate, the signal would
keep dropping. Just my opinion, but if they're giving them away then
why the hell not have one haha.
