Hi Andy

No not really. (smile.) It's another way of going back on a web page to where you were, and it definitely works in folders as well.

Give it another go.

Hi Jackie.

For some reason, I cannot do that. I've tried checking both, Open in the same and another window and even re-booted, but Alt left arrow does not take me out of a folder?

Any ideas?

Best wishes.

Andy.

Hi Andy

If you do an alt left arrow together, it will take you out of that folder, but keep you on the letter or artist you were on. So, using your example of Meatloaf, if you are in his folder and you want to go back one level that keeps you on his name when you go back, just alt and left arrow, and you will still be on Meatloaf when you do that.

I hope this makes sense, and is what you want to do.

Hi all.

When I go into a folder, for example, MeatLoaf - bat out of hell 2 to listen to a particular track, then press the back delete key, I'm brought back into the My Music directory, but not on the album I just left, but rather, at the top on ACDC. This is a pest because if you are jumping in and out of folders, you need to find your way back. Hope I've explained this okay.

Anyway, I'm sure at one time when I pressed the back del key I ended up on the album name. Does anyone know which setting within XP Home that I need to adjust to sort this out?

Best wishes.

Andy.
