No no no, you're not getting it. Just because you can send and receive e-mails on your mobile via imap, doesn't mean your PC have to be set up that way. However, if you plan to use Pop3 on your PC, make sure that messages are left on the server, otherwise your messages will get downloaded to your PC only, and therefore will not be able to retrieve the messages from your mobile. This is where Imap makes it simpler, in that you don't have to worry about losing messages, as you can get it again just by re-connecting to the imap server and downloading the messages again. The only way imap messages get deleted is when you delete it from the imap server. This is known as perging. Hope this helps. Why not join my Blind Hobbyist group?
