That has put me off getting one. I am not happy that there are buttons which cannot be felt. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Oh OK chris I am still confused. I thought touch pad related to the fact that on the NC10 there are touch buttons which cannot be felt and when pressed they for example bring up the window for connecting the wireless modem. Am I totally on the wrong track and is the touch pad to do with Jaws users and Hal users disabling the mouose?

Eleanor, I appreciate you're new to this, but I'll tell you now that wireless has nothing to do with enabling/disabling touch pads. Basically we're dealing with two different and unrelated pieces of hardware; wireless card and mouse/touchpad.

That's brill for me then James. Will my wireless still work if I disable the touch pad. Is the key combination a toggle to turn it back on?

Hi Eleanor,
No, just for the NC10. Don't know about the Advent.

Thanks for that James. incidentally about the disabling of the touch pad
was that for the NC10 as well as the Advent? Fn and F10 combination?

Hi Eleanor,
Go into any folder on your computer, set it to list in the view menu, then go to the tools menu, folder options, and there is a button called 'Apply
to all Folders'. Press that, and all folders will be set to list.
