Hi Roger,
It may be "Plug and Pray" but that doesn't mean it is using
the CORRECT drivers, perhaps just default ones.
The fact that you do not appear to be able to save
Resolution tends to suggest this.

Hi George
I went into Device Manager and the new monitor is recognised
and is shown as a plug and play. Would this not mean that
drivers are not needed and all I need to do is increase my
screen resolution?
