Yep, it does. I use a Cano-Scan Lide-60 portable USB powered scanner and it
works fine on my Netbook.

Hi Caroline
I am using a scanner that I've had for years, the Epson 1240U. This
scanner works well on my NC10 with both K1000 and Open Book, though it
is mains powered as well.
To my knowledge, a portable scanner would work on the Netbook.

I'd be interested to know whether anyone is using a portable scanner
with a netbook, and if so, which model have you found to be working
well? Does a netbook, specifically the Samsung NC10, have enough power
through its USB ports to run one of the scanners which doesn't run off
the mains.
