Hello everyone, like many on here, I have never met Sara either, but have listened to all the blind kiss shows. I have also talked to her online in what used to be an IRC chat community called accessible chat. I also agree with everyone who said that the least we can do in memory of Sara is to keep continuing to improve access to books for blind/visually impaired people. This news has definitely come as a total shock to me. My thoughts are with all Sara's friends and family. But when I hear Sara's name I think of her passion for books, and her ceaseless work to bring the matter of the lack of books in accessible formats to the attention of those who needed to know. If there is to be any kind of memorial for Sara, maybe it should be for people to continue her fight for the provision of books to the blind. Progress on that front would certainly make her smile. From the other messages I have read, she sounded like an epitome of the saying 'Only the good die young'. I think the blind community will be much worse off for her death. She was 34 years old. I've posted a brief tribute to her on our website http://www.blindkiss.com and will doubtless add to it in the days or weeks to come when everything seems a little less dark. You may have known her at Bridgend school or later Chorely Wood or Worcester. More recently you may have been in touch with her professionally through Blazie. She was a powerhouse of wit and intelligence and has left a huge hole in my life. We miss you and love you Sara. What am I gonna do without you. Rest in peace. ...Damon ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ NOD32 2178 (20070410) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
