You can turn off the backlight yes. Though what key combo it is, I can't
remember.

Hi All
I know this netbook has been discussed to death on this list, but up until
now I had no interest in the machine.
However I'm considering buying one and have looked at the specification
which is pretty reasonable for the price.
I'm just curious to know how long on average the battery lasts. Both with
the screen on and off as the latter will obviously give a longer battery
life.
