JackieThanks for that. What is the volume like? On my last laptop which wasn't a smaller one, the highest volume was very difficult to listen to if there was any background noise at all and when the fan periodicly came on it drowned out the speakers. I found myself with my ear right down to the speakers unless the room was silent.

Hi Barbara I use it for both JAWS and music. I tried hooking it up to my hi-fi system at the weekend, just to see if there was any background noise. I found the quality through my system to be very good indeed. On the speakers, JAWS is a bit tinny, and so is music, but you would expect that from such small speakers on such a neat device. But it isn't any worse than listening to TALKS or music through a mobile phone's speaker(s). I'd be more than happy to listen to an audio book, music or work with my screen reader using headphones on the NC10 while travelling. Go for it! I have caught up on the netbook thread and am reading some very good reviews of the Samsung NC10. I am considering buying a netbook and was wondering if the JAWS or Window Eyes users out there could tell me what the audio quality is like on this device? I've read excellent reviews at Play.com, but none of them mention audio. I guess unless you are using it to play music, your average user isn't all that bothered about sound quality. However, there's nothing worse than listening to a screen reader through inferior, quiet or tiny speakers. So I'd read any feedback on the audio with great interest.
