Yeah, now the "Mailbox not found" may be worth pursuing with this lot!

Anyone any suggestions on that one?

Hi,

On this subject - what I'd like to know is are there any spam filters that work within Outlook Express? I mean ISPs use some which seem to be web based - i.e. I cannot tell them something is or is not spam from Outlook Express, I must do it on the web which I don't want to do as with the amount of mail I get and the design of my mail providers' websites I'd spend all my day rather than half of it on e-mail. . Then I've seen Mail Washer and I guess there are other programs like that which sit between the server and Outlook Express and therefore take more time if I'm going to use them. Is there anything I can do within Outlook Express, apart from manually creating rules? I'd like a program which I could, say, press the applications key on a message and mark it as spam and in future it would go to deleted items; or bounce back some "mailbox not found" type message which might cut down some spam...does anyone know of such a program which fits in with Outlook Express?

hi, unfortunately, the other problem with spam filters, is they sometimes
filter out legitimate messages. i've been using a 3rd party program called
cloudmark, (can dig out the URL if you like). unfortunately, whilst this
program is highly rated, it does occasionally treat legitimate messages as
spam, but this is the case with all such programs. i've stopped using it for
the minute, as the most recent version, 2.12 that is, seems not too like my
email hosts server and won't allow the download of messages from that
address. apart from that, it's a good program. but which ever road you go
down, none is infalible, and you should probably check the folder your
"spam" is filtered too in case of wrongly filtered messages. thus not really
helping much in the long run.

Hi all,

Well, again I need to ask advice what to do with this rubbish. Much of
what
I receive is just a jumble of sentences, which often make little sense and
I
don't care to read anyway. There's quite a bit each day though and I'm
totally fedup with it. I don't recognise any of the addresses from which
this rubbish comes.

What should I do, please?
