Amro. Totally agree with you about how I might use SA to Go. I wouldn't be interested in adding a Braille display, or other SAPI synths. The beauty of this product is the portability. If you get to someone else's computer, or an internet cafe, you just want a bit of simple immediate access and this is what SA to GO gives. You lose your freedom and portability if you try to configure it too much. Though an instant braille display hookup would be desirable, it would have to be proper plug and play to reflect the portability and immediacy of the product. Installation processes would make you wonder why you'd bought the product if you can't get going simply in seconds.

But yes. I can see myself using this if I quickly have to hop to another desk for a few hours at work. I can see myself helping my Mum and Dad on the internet when I go to their house. I can see myself using it at internet cafes, in hotels, airports etc - where sound cards are present.

Beyond that I see little point for this product being a JAWS owner. I'd need help to navigate to the SA to Go website in the first instance too, in order to get it running in the absence of a speech synth.

Oh and to the people who are worried it might clash with jaws if downloaded, don't worry. It didn't affect my system at all. I opted to play with the demo version. Have a play with that first.

Barry, do that from the system tray. SA key + F11 to access the system tray.

Cheers,

Ok, once it's running, how do you stop it?

Thanks

You still have to pay for it. It is good I must agree. I have been using
System Access for about three years. Much cheaper than Jaws.

 Cheers

Am surprised no one is talking about this. It's fantastic!

   http://www.satogo.com/

   A web-based screenreader . it doesn't just make a web page talk . it
gives intelligent access to your PC like what JAWS does.

If you subscribe to it, you can just logon to it from any computer
anywhere. Portability galore!
