I would still give downloading and installing the full build a go. I think you
will find it will work and that you will get these other updates.

Hi Tristram -
In my case, this wouldn't resolve my issue. It became apparent after being
prompted to download updates for JAWS13. As well as ticking the download for
the latest build, I also ticked a couple of other downloads, such as 'getting
started with JFW and Vista' just to have a read really, and although the latest
build for JAWS installed ok, the other downlaods didn't, and I got the message
that the download had failed, and that doing a JFW repair and then trying again
for the download would probably fix it. That's why I was asking where to find
the repair option under jaws on my laptop -

Dear Andy
The best way to repair JAWS these days is to download the latest build of
JAWS version that you are authorised. For example if you know you are a JAWS
13 user and you need to repair it the best thing to do is download the most
current build of JAWS. This serves two purposes:
1 It will repair the JAWS.
2 It will update if your build is earlier and fix various small
issues that the update addresses.
You can update current versions of JAWS by going to this page:

...and for previous versions of JAWS visit here:

Subject: [access-uk] Repairing JAWS
Hi all -
Can't remember where to find the repair option for JAWS. There now only seems
to be an uninstall option now [jaws13] when I choose this, I am asked if I want
to uninstall jaws only, or all components as well. I was hoping I might find
the repair option under the uninstall menu, but no! -
