you can update to version four, but i'd uninstall three first, disconnect
from the net, then uninstall, then restart, then install four, then connect to
the net again. i have found going over the top of versions does not work very
well imho.

Now, why didn't I think of that!
I had to register with a special security site, very choosey about the kind
of password you can have before my debit/credit/international bank card was
considered and after 3 attempts, my payment has been successful.
When can I expect to see a change in my license terms? Will it appear on the
about section of the prog as it did before the next time the definitions are
updated? I still use version 3 because each time I tried to download version 4
the global site chucked me out. I know better now.
Do I have to uninstall version 3 before updating to version 4? only, I'm a
bit worried about being without virus protection for the time it takes. I know
disconnecting from the internet is an option, but you get so many warnings
nowadays when you do this that it makes navigating on the screen with the shark
very tedious.
Have any of you installed version 4 on top of version 3 without problems? Any
comments welcomed.
And,Martin, thanks a million, you've saved my sanity, I was tearing my hair
out. Neither the Americans, or the French could tell me I'd bought my license
in the UK.
Mind you, it's all here in my reference folder but I was stupid enough not to
look at it. Lesson learnt and,I hope, remembered for a long while.
  Cheers now,
  Marie

    Hi folks,
Getting into all sorts of trouble trying to do this...Every time I try, I
am automatically directed to the French site, the system there doesn't
recognize my user name and password. When I force the system to go to the
international download site, the same thing happens. I chose to ignore the
problem on the French site and bought a license, they give me a key but after
entering this, I'm asked for my user name and password and it is not recognized
again. Managed to get my money back. Phoned the states who say that because of
my geographic location, they can't help me. Then they mail me saying I've
recently renewed my license say that my user name and password has not changed
and give them to me as reference. The user name is right but the password is
different. I try it on the site and it is not recognized. They say they do not
issue any international license anymore and do not accept international
debit/credit card for security reason.
The French say they can't renew my license because my previous wasn't one
bought in France.
I cleared all history in IE in case it might make a difference but to no
avail.
Any thoughts or comments on what I should do, most welcomed.
    Marie
